 Post subject: I need some CB help

I just put another CB in my truck and was going to try and tune the CB to the Ant.. I have a SWR meter but I dont recall if I zero it out or max it out when the mic is keyed down. Anybody know????

Let me know if you have any problems that you can't resolve with it. I used to own my own shop and have worked in a few CB radio shops as well and will gladly help out. Also, contrary to a common belief, once an antenna is tuned it is tuned. No need to do it again just because of a new radio. What kind of radio do you have.

I know this is a old post now, does the antenna have to be grounded? I have it grounded, CB is grounded but I still can hardly pick up others a few hundred feet from me!

It would depend on HOW it is grounded. Sounds like you might have it shorted out ??? If you want you can bring your jeep over and ill fix it for you no charge. Also, no need to worry about posting on an older thread here. We like people that get old threads working again....MATT....
