My friends and I used to all have CBs back in the day but lately nobody seems to have them anymore. I am one of the few people I know that still has a CB radio, although, lately it seems to be just collecting dust rather than actually being used. Who out there still owns and actually uses a CB?

I have a CB and a 2m Ham in my rig. On runs out here I would say that 80-90% of people have CBs and only about 20% have Ham. I would like to add that out of the people that have CBs only about half of them have their antennas tuned. Some are so bad that they can not transmit 100 yards. :twocents:

In the 4x4 community that is very true. And to answer Tom's question, ever since the popularity of internet and cell phones, Cb radio users of the past (myself included) have moved on. Also, note pictures I added in the "WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU RUN ? PAST OR PRESENT" topic.

I have a CB in every vehicle, all the years of truck driving I look at it like it's as important as any tool I carry. In the past i've spent some bucks on radios, these days i just want something cheap and simple. I just by the small cobras and make sure the antenna is tuned.

Is there any particular channel you guys run when wheeling? A Rebel Channel?

Same here, busy working and I wheel every chance I get. been trying to work out some probs with my rear suspension. Put some new 5100's on and with no real load in the back I'm hitting my bump stops. Probably going to re spring the jeep in the next few weeks.
